Willkommen
Stated aim of teaching of the Department of Electronics  is to supply the students with comprehensive knowledge in the field of electronic and optoelectronic devices. The respective lectures are dividable into the three main topics materials, technology and diagnostics.
Centre of interest in research and development is the development and optimization of scanning probe and scanning electron microscopical techniques. Promising for future applications is the fact that the applied probes can either be used as sensors, which give access to a vast variety of material properties, or as actuators, which can deliberately modify samples at a level of a few millionth millimeters. This does not only take place in basic research, but also in close cooperation with internationally renowned industrial partners.
